The Boob Bus isn't just mammograms. We also offer dense breast ultrasound, genetic testing to uncover hidden health risks, and cosmetic injectables to help you look and feel your best.
You know Angelina Jolie and Christina Applegate, right? They made the BRCA1 and BRCA2 genes even more famous. When a woman has a damaging genetic variant in one of these genes, they can have up to an 80% lifetime risk of breast cancer and 40% lifetime risk of ovarian cancer. Having this information in advance can help you take preventative action, customize treatment, and alert other family members.
This is not about your ancestry, whether cilantro tastes like soap, or finding long-lost relatives. It's to detect potentially dire health concerns before they happen so you can take action and prevent them. Save yourself and your loved ones from cancer and more.
Our test includes genes specifically mentioned by clinical medical organizations and can be discussed with a Utah-licensed and certified Genetic Counselor. The laboratory environment has all necessary certifications, including CAP and CLIA.
Cancer doesn't discriminate. While we focus on breast cancer, our genetic testing also detects risks relevant to all of us, including colon cancer, pancreatic cancer, melanoma, and stomach cancer. Sex-specific organs we evaluate also include ovaries, uterus/endometrium, and the prostate.
There are hundreds of genetic tests you could choose. For The Boob Bus, we have selected a test to tell you about cancer risk (breast, ovarian, colon, prostate, pancreas, and more).
We assess your personal risk through a fast and easy saliva collection kit. When you complete the forms section, you'll answer questions that help us determine your personal lifetime risk of breast cancer, which will be reported in your mammogram results.
Our genetic testing coordination fee is $149, which includes the saliva collection kit, test coordination, and a full consultation with our licensed genetic counselor to walk through your results.
A separate lab fee (typically $249 or less based on your family history) will be billed directly to you by the lab — your total will not exceed $399. We'll discuss lab pricing details at your appointment.
You must be 18 or older to complete a genetic test.
Rena Vanzo is our licensed/certified genetic counselor who will guide you through every step — from understanding your results to creating an actionable plan.
A mammogram checks for cancer right now. But a genetic test outlines your lifetime risk profile and highlights areas to watch. We believe every woman should understand her genetic risk.
About 40% of women have dense breast tissue, which can make it harder to detect abnormalities on a mammogram alone. Our FDA-approved Automated Breast Ultrasound (ABUS) uses sound waves — no radiation — to create detailed 3D images, helping radiologists find cancers that mammography might miss.
Your radiologist may recommend an ultrasound if your mammogram shows you have heterogeneously or extremely dense breast tissue, or if you have a family history of breast cancer. It's a supplemental screening — not a replacement for your mammogram.
Dense breast ultrasound is $399 (self-pay only). We accept cash, Venmo, and credit cards. ABUS is available only at select events — look for the "ABUS Available" badge when booking.
Hate those wrinkles on your forehead, between your eyebrows, and around your eyes? There is an FDA-approved treatment that smooths those out for a good 3 months. You'll look and feel more bright and refreshed! Who doesn't want that?!
Botox® and Dysport® smooth frown lines and wrinkles by quieting or stilling the underlying facial muscles. This both reduces current lines and prevents new ones! Every face is different, but typically a single treatment uses between 30–60 units. Most people notice the smoothing effect for 3–4 months post-treatment.
We offer Botox® or Dysport®, two of the most well-known neuromodulator injectables. Some women are happy with either brand, but others prefer one over the other. We suggest trying both at some point to find your favorite. Our certified nurse injectors can discuss each one and its benefits before you decide.
Studies are showing that treatment with injectables improves depression. Reduced frown lines and frown activity make your brain think it's happier (the Facial Feedback Hypothesis), and subduing the amygdala means fewer reactive, negative emotions. Looking and feeling your best boosts mental health — and there's real biology behind it.
The specific facial site and how much treatment you want is up to you in consult with our certified nurse injectors. There is a tiny poke/pinching sensation each time the needle is injected (perhaps 4–5× per treatment session), but it is minimal. Most women don't even need or want ice, but we have the cutest little ice packs if you do!
Our standard pricing is $12 per unit of Botox® or Botox-equivalent units (because it typically requires more units of Dysport® to achieve the same effect). If you paid an individual or party booking fee, we will apply that towards the cost of your treatment or service. Check out our price discounts for private parties!
